The Doomstone drops from Doomsayer Baelresh, that can be found at 35 31 spot.
He has a big health pool, but what really annoys that is the wind trying to blow you off from the cliff. Try to burst it asap.

If you're confused (like I was) about where Magatha is to turn in, don't go back to where she gave you the quest. From Doomsayer Baelresh's rock (Thousand Needles 35,31), take the east bridge to the rock at 37,31. She's there.

Trying to do this as a resto shaman really sucks. You don't do much damage so it's hard to stay on the platform long enough to take him down without being knocked off.
I was getting fed up after a few attempts where I came real close but then another shaman came along. She was the opposite faction but that didn't matter. We both killed him and got credit.

I switched to Elemental and Fought the boss in the water and it was very simple... that was of course after he tossed me into it lol. Good Luck. Jess

Be careful of wind and eruption knockbacks. You fall he resets.

Remember this is a shaman quest, pop heroism and use elemental. Also, this is old world so we can fly back to the doomsayer. Focus on staying on the platform.

Just did this on resto. SO FRUSTRATING at first. But finally I used one of the bridges. Fewer eyes appear, and the sides make the wind mostly moot! All you have to do is watch out for the pillars. I saved myself MLG style twice by using gust of wind! Don't forget Hero, and mostly don't worry about healing; use CDs. Also I was using Pepper Breath food. Good luck!

I fought him as elemental in the water. I fought him from the bridge that I approached after defeating 15 mobs and releasing the requisite NPCs. When I got knocked off the bridge I went quickly to the bottom of the platform he is on. This seemed to induced him to come down to the water and fight me. I stayed close to him so he would not reset once he came down to the water. It took me at least 10 tries to get him.

This quest SUCKS. The first time I hit him with Thunderstorm, over the edge he went... and then my Earth Elemental tanked him there so when he died, he was halfway down the cliff and impossible to loot. The second time he tossed me off the bridge with wind and I had to sit in the water below as he burned down both my 5 minute cd elementals. Don't push him off the cliff, and don't let him push you off.

EDIT - After getting knocked off 5 times, cussing at Blizzard the whole time, I tried the technique used by frenchbassguy above. You MUST use the bridge leading to the boss, and not the one between him and the quest turn in... the first bridge has higher rails than the second and WILL keep you from falling off. Burned him down, got the item, and left this turd in the punchbowl quest in my rear view mirror. Good luck, guys.

I'll add my two cents worth...

After getting knocked off the bridge (not the one leading to the quest giver) I went behind the barrier on the bridge and gave the guy a 'tickle'. Eventually the came over. The barricade did offer some protection from the wind. ("Little" being minuscule.) I managed to get him down to 5% or so numerous times before being knocked off.

But, once in the water I stayed "still" and eventually he (she?) started coming down after me. Finally, he came down to the water and then the fight became academic. (I could have killed him while he was on the sides of the cliff but I was afraid that there would be no way to loot him.)

tl;dr

Kite him down to the water.

Why the hell is Arikara her "companion?" It was sent to kill her years ago.

Description

When the demons attack, they captured two very powerful possessions of mine: my companion Arikara and the Doomstone.

While death matters not to Arikara, the Legion surely has ulterior plans for him. And the Doomstone... such an artifact of power belongs in my hands, not theirs. We must split up to find them.

For the world's sake, do be careful. I don't need you clumsily destroying everything.
