General info:

There are total 9 kittens across Maldraxxus. (8 in the zone and 1 inside Plaguefall)
They are neutral critters look like green marmalade figurines.
You cant neither attack nor tame them, you only can interact to them to pet.
They can be target with /tar /target commands and marked, so its easy to locate them when know coordinates.
Use macros to place a mark /script

Nine Afterlives achievement

There are nine slime cats scattered around Maldraxxus. When you find them, you need to pet the cat by clicking on it (channeled 3.5 second spell), after petting one you get a 5 minute debuff called Gross (You’ve been slimed!) which gives you a green tint but doesn’t otherwise effect your character. Repeated petting of cats will give you additional stacks but not increase the duration of the buff.

The cats are scattered all over Maldraxxus and some wall walking/jumping is required to reach them. The easiest way to find them is to run a mod like Silver Dragon or NPCScan (you may need to add the NPC IDs to either mod, hopefully they will be updated before 9.0 goes live).

While it’s likely this will be the source of the slime cat pet, the achievement doesn’t as yet reward it on beta. Still, petting slime cats is its own reward. :)

It will target the slime cat and play a sound if it is found in range. I key bind this and hit it frequently while running around to find them.

Hairball

currently no coordinates available - Hairball is in the Plaguefall instance, at the bottom level just before the last boss (The Festering Sanctum). After you drop down into the pool, there’s a small alcove to the right facing the boss room. You can target Hairball using the macro above. You cannot access this location in the non-instanced version as it is behind a locked door (can’t be unlocked in open wold).

He’s up on a mushroom/leaf thing. This is a jumping challenge. I found the easiest way to get there was to go around the other side of the mushroom, there’s a gap between the stalk and the wall. From there you run onto the first leaf, jump onto the second, then you need to wall jump onto a vein on the side of the stem, and from there onto the final leaf. You need to hit a very narrow location on the wall jump, taller races may have issues as you tend to hit the vein above and bounce off.

Objective of this achievement is to find 9 kittens.
8 in Maldraxxus and 1 is inside the Plaguefall dungeon near the final boss
You get debuff when you click on a kitten Gross You’ve been slimed!
It has 5 minutes duration, but it doesn't really mater for this achievement, can ignore it

To get Nine Afterlives you need find and pet all of the kittens in Maldraxxus.
On the Dungeon Plaguefall have a kitten so, I recommend you queue the Dungeon while find another kittens.

How to find the all 9 kittens:

Hairball is located on the Dungeon Plaguefall, I do it on Normal Mode.
You find this kitten after defeat the third boss and drop down into the pool to the last boss room.
Use /tar Hairball to find more easy.

Pus-In-Boots is located on Iron Trench under the bridge.

I got the achievement, but didn't recieve anything in my pack. I checked my toybox and found that I do now own "Jiggles's Favorite Toy", but it doesn't work.
Not sure if it's bugged or just me.

I am currently unable to see Mayhem.. I did the most recent necrolord story content in this area and i think im phased. This is my last kitten to pet. Any idea how to fix this other then doing it on another character?

Note for the sleepy and Shadowlands Pet addicts!

If you are are petting these and find that you keep getting interrupted ....stand behind them. Worked for me the second I went from behind.

Be Aware Maldraxxi Covenants. If you complete the 2nd part of the caimpaign and head towards Mayhem you will discover that the Ziggurat is phased now and mayhem is MIA. i have a ticket in currently.

For Hairball, if you are saved to a Mythic 0 and go back way later when the instance is completely free of mobs, Hairball won't be there. I just went and Hairball is gone :( So you have to run it while you're running an actual active dungeon.

I am so far unsuccessful in getting to Moldstopheles on my Vulpera. It seems like I cannot make the last jump.
Switched to my Blood Elf and got it on my 2nd try…
Discrimination against short characters ?
Has anyone here gotten to Moldstopheles on a Vulpera / Goblin / Gnome character ?

I would just like to comment that this cheeve does NOT award you with a slime kitten. It gives you a toy you can use with cat pets, sort of like a laser pointer that works one time with a cool down.

Jiggles the slime pet is a Necro rep pet purchase.

If you have Will of Remornia out she will kill the cat, but somehow you still get credit towards the chevo.

If you always walk with a battle pet like me, check your pet before getting close to any of those kittens.
Pets like Remornia or Lil'Ragnaros or others which kills critters will kill the kitty.
Remornia was with me and instantly killed Puss in Boots. I can't say the time to respawn cause servers were about to shut down. Now I'm waiting for it to reset and hopefully he will be there again.
