Wow, watch out for these. They're non elites but they'll cast "frostbite" on you. This spell causes 2200+ damage and roots you in place.

In addition to the spell above, it can use Arcane Missiles, which does roughly 170 arcane damage per second for 5 seconds, and Ice Barrier.

As a shadow priest I found this out, but the information will help all classes and specs.

When you pull one of these mobs either on land or in the water they open with ranged arcane missiles which hurt and interupt casting severely if unshielded and burn through a temporary shield quite quick. If you have not got them down within a few seconds they cast their freezing circle which roots you and hits you for the imba damage mentioned in the previous posts. It is quite easy to avoid the freezing trap and heavy damage by simply moving when it is cast.

However no one has mentioned that if you pull one of these who is onland and you are in the water, hey presto! instead of their usuall routine, they first of all come into the water, right up to you, and open with melee, the melee swing hits for slightly less than the arcane missiles but mainly is a much slower attack, in this case, shielded or not they are burnt down long before they get to any real sort of arcane missile damage and the freezing trap and imba damage just ain't gonna happen unless you are stroking them with an arakkoa feather every four minutes as your main attack.

Clear a spot in the water and pull, also if you are killing these for the sporeggar repeatable quest, the slavedrivers in the water will not bring slaves with them. Easy rep
